This month it's "Christmas in July". We'll be stitching out 2 projects this month:
1. Embroidered Christmas CardAnyone can purchase a Christmas card,
but very few of us can actually create
an embroidered one! If you have never
embroidered on paper before this is a
great way to start. Once the card is embroidered
you can further embellish your card by using scrapbook
techniques. Add stickers, lettering, decorative paper or even
stamps to enhance the design and create a unique card
anyone would cherish.
2. Holiday Felt Gift TagThis gift tag is a fast and easy in the hoop project; which
means no additional sewing! Felt is a great material that
does not fray, comes in lots of colors and it easy to find
in any craft store. These tags are the perfect addition to
any holiday gift!
(also included, but for you to do at home)
Hand Stitched Christmas Napkin CornerIf you have always been intimidated by napkin corners because of placement,
fear no more! This project demonstrates how easy it is to embroider on a
napkin without any fancy hooping or stabilizer tricks. This beautiful handstitched
design looks like it was created using embroidery floss instead of
thread, but uses regular embroidery thread and 5-7 ply stitches as fill stitches
and outlines. The end result is striking napkin corner created fast and easy.
